Anna has always loved food. At the age of two, she indicated enjoyment of taste by making noises-- this habit continues through present day. The first food she made was a batch of chocolate chip cookies-- age 6. At age 15, she began collecting Bon Appetit and Gourmet magazines. Fascinated by cooking methods and ingredients featured in these publications, she experimented with dinner, much to her family's chagrin. Becky got her start in the cooking world a little later in life, starting in her sophomore year of college when she moved to an off-campus apartment and realized that eating at the school dining hall required more walking and advanced planning than she was willing to do. The first foods she made on her own were chili and vegetable stirfry, which made her overcome her fears of sharp utensils and heat sources.
